About Us

Founded in London over 100 years ago, Pike Textile Display moved to March and then Wisbech in Cambridgeshire in 1973. Andrew Pike, our sales director, is the fourth generation of family owner with pattern books in his blood!

Our workforce is a dynamic team combining long-serving staff who have accumulated vast experience with newer recruits keen to learn a trade and develop their skills with us. Dave, one of our team leaders and our expert sample-maker, has been with us for 41 years so far!

All our production operators recently acquired NVQs in Performing Manufacturing Operations and are now working in teams towards NVQs in Business Improvement Techniques.

Pattern book production still uses traditional processes but introducing lean manufacturing practices is changing the way we organise and manage our workflow. In future, pattern book production may look similar to yesterday’s methods close up, but in fact our traditional craft will be quietly transformed by smarter thinking, layouts and systems.
